There’s always something happening at The Old King’s Arms – from weekly quizzes and monthly open mic nights to live bands, comedy, and family-friendly events.
- Weekly & Monthly Events like our Thursday Quiz and Open Mic Tuesdays are free to attend, but we recommend booking a table to guarantee your spot.
- Our Bi-Monthly Events like Friday Vinyl Sessions or Wednesday Open Decks Vinyl Night are free to attend but you’ll need to book a 30min slot if you want to spin your own tracks.
- Special Events including live music, cabaret shows, and seasonal parties often require tickets – available securely through DesignMyNight.

Regular Weekly & Monthly Events
Quiz Night – Every Thursday, 8pm
Join our host Quizerella Claire for Horsforth’s most popular quiz. Take on fun, interactive rounds with a £50 bar tab prize each week, plus leaderboard points for the chance to win the £200 monthly jackpot. Only £2pp.
Open Mic Night – First Tuesday of every month, 7.30pm
Hosted by Bad Captain, our monthly Open Mic brings together local talent for a lively evening of music and performance. Every performer receives a free pint.
Friday Vinyl Sessions – Every other Friday, 6pm
Start the weekend right with our DJs playing funk, soul, & hip hop classics on our vinyl decks. Free to attend but table bookings recommended.
Open Decks Vinyl Night – Every other Wednesday, 6pm
Dig out your favourite vinyls and spin them during your own 30 min slot. Every performer receives a free pint.
July Events
Saturday 18th – The Quicken (Live Music / Free Event) | 7pm
Join us for the return of The Quicken! A 5-piece blues and rock influenced band from Leeds writing original songs and playing less well known covers. Free entry but booking recommended.
Saturday 18th – World Cup 2026: 3rd Place Playoff (Live Sport / Free Event) | From 10pm
Third place is no cup win but it’s better than nothing. Pre-book and bag 10% off food and your first round.
Sunday 19th – World Cup 2026: Final (Live Sport / Free Event) | From 8pm
It all comes down to this – who will lift the 2026 (we can still pray for England at this point!). Pre-book and bag 10% off food and your first round.
Saturday 25th – Skools Out 4 Summer Garden Party (Live DJ / Free Event) | From 3pm – 8pm

Monday 27th – All Stars Quiz: Challenge the All Stars (Quiz / Paid Event) | 7pm
