Do you charge hire fees?
No hire fees (except the Beer Garden). You just need to meet the minimum spend for your chosen space.
What is the minimum spend for private hire in Horsforth?

Full Venue Hire and Beer Garden Hire are not available during major sporting events such as Leeds United matches and England World Cup fixtures, as the pub remains open for live viewing.
If your preferred date is not available, we can usually recommend a midweek slot or alternative space that gives you more flexibility.
What are the best times to book?
If you want a specific Saturday, book early.
If you want more flexibility, better availability and lower minimum spend, midweek bookings are your best option.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
No outside drinks are permitted.
Food is provided by our resident kitchen, The Wing Savant. You can order on the day from the main menu or pre-book catering packages for your group.
Outside catering may be possible with prior agreement.
Can I organise food and drinks in advance?
Yes. For larger groups, we recommend sorting this ahead of time.
We can arrange catering packages, drinks bundles, bottle buckets or stocked fridges so everything is ready when you arrive and you can get straight into the night.
Do I need to pre-order food?
Not always. Smaller groups can order on the day.
For larger bookings, pre-ordering keeps things running smoothly and avoids delays.
Can we bring a cake or decorations?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a cake and decorations.
We will set the space up before you arrive. We just ask that everything is cleared at the end of your booking.
Is the space fully private?
The Games Room is fully private.
The Snug and The Lookout are reserved areas within the pub, so you will have your own section but not full exclusivity.
Full Venue Hire gives you exclusive use of the entire pub.
Can we play our own music?
Yes in fully private spaces like the Games Room or the Beer Garden.
For other areas, we will confirm what is possible when you book.
What happens if we do not meet the minimum spend?
If the minimum spend is not reached, the remaining balance will be charged.
We will always make this clear before your booking is confirmed.
What time does our booking include?
Your booking runs within agreed times based on our opening hours.
If you need early access for setup or extra time, let us know in advance and we will confirm what is possible.
