What’s On

Regular Events:

There is always something happening at The Old Kings Arms and we advise you to keep up to date with us by following our Facebook/Instagram/ Twitter page.

We have a weekly Quiz Night on a Thursday from 8.30pm. Come and join us and our Quizerella Claire and be taken on a bizarre but wonderful and ultimately fun journey through weekly changing topics, current affairs, creative rounds and music rounds.  There is the chance to be crowned the king of the King’s for the rest of the night and a £30 bar tab up for grabs!

Every other Wednesday we host an Open Mic from 7.30pm. Whether you are a comedian, singer or magician the stage is yours. Hosted by Tim Gomersall- it is always a great night, not just for performers, but spectators alike. Book your spots in advance and receive a free pint for performing!

On the last Friday of every month DJ Mark Hepworth and special guests play classic records from the 50’s 60’s & 70’s. Including Ska, Soul, Funk, Northern Soul and much more. No computers in sight, strictly Vinyl.

The third Saturday of every month see us hosting an ethical clothing exchange The Old King’s Garms Swap Shop. Where you can exchange your previously loved clothes for new ones! This year we are joined by The Mobile Haberdashery at every swap who stock all you will need to jazz up your new items! We swap from 1-3pm!

On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month we hold a Sing-a-Long around our piano with our resident pianist Sam Pszonka, who takes requests from all eras of music, if he knows it he’ll play it for you to sing along to. Sometimes even if he doesn’t know it he’ll give it a try. It is great fun for all the family.

On Wednesday and Friday mornings, the King’s is transformed into a musical wonderland for toddlers and babies as we host Shake, Rattle & Boogie! A fun musical group for young children. Wednesdays are drop ins and Friday’s you will need to book through www.shakerattleandboogie.com

Clubs and groups are welcome to get in touch to host regular meet ups and events here, we have the local Knit & Natter group who use our space every Thursday. Just get in touch to see how we can help 🙂
